If you are an experienced lead-hand or supervisor who knows how to coordinate transport, manage a floor crew, and take total accountability for a daily schedule, this is the step up you’ve been looking for.

The Role (What you’ll be doing):

1. Crew Leadership

  • Map out daily tasks, monitor shift productivity, and coach a dedicated team of 3–5 floor staff.

  • Set the standard for a strong, practical safety culture on the floor.

2. Transport & Logistics Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate transport schedules to ensure smooth material movement in and out of the gate.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for heavy vehicle drivers, transport providers, and internal dispatch teams.

  • Optimise routing and load allocations to eliminate bottlenecks.

3. Site & Machinery Supervision

  • Take ownership of daily facility performance, ensuring high-volume cardboard balers and industrial material handling equipment run efficiently.

  • Coordinate routine machinery maintenance and quickly troubleshoot or report faults to minimise operational downtime.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Lead daily toolbox talks, conduct risk assessments, and run regular site safety inspections.

  • Ensure the facility strictly meets heavy vehicle national regulations and site safety standards.

5. Operational Reporting

  • Maintain clean, accurate records of inbound/outbound material volumes, transport logs, and safety paperwork.


What you need to bring:

We are looking for an experienced supervisor from a transport or industrial background who knows how to keep a site moving.

  • Supervisory Track Record: Experience leading teams within transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or heavy warehouse operations.

  • Machinery Exposure: Practical knowledge of operating or overseeing cardboard balers, compactors, or similar industrial processing plant equipment.

  • Logistics & Dispatch: Solid experience handling transport scheduling, gate receipts, or fleet coordination.

  • Safety First Mindset: Strong, practical understanding of WHS standards and compliance reporting.

  • The Essentials: Clear communication, sharp problem-solving skills, and a reliable, "lead from the front" work ethic.
